Happy Anniversary

June 18, 1983 ... Pattie Ann Featherston became my wife.






The calendar says 28 years have passed since we started this journey together.
I have checked and re-checked the math and it is right.

On one level, we seem to have always been together,
for I cannot remember a time when she was not here.

On another level it feels like it was only yesterday.
It is all so fresh and new still in my mind.

The first time I saw her ...
The first time I kissed her ...
The first time I told her ... "I love you."

The very first time I held her in my arms and promised ... "forever."

She has always been there
Quietly, patiently, faithfully supporting and loving me.

I never envisioned the journey would be so rough at times
And I never imagined that she could be so courageous, and faithful.

She made the impossible, do able
She has cheered me when I wanted to give up and quit.

My reputation has always been safe in her hands.
I owe her more than I can ever repay

She has always taken what I could give her,
And somehow make it a home.

I love you girlfriend!
I am enamored with your beauty,
And Intoxicated by your voice.

I sometimes miss you when you simply walk out of the room.

Humbly and thankfully your husband of 28 years.
