An open letter to Natasha and Daniel

Daniel and Natasha,

We all want to hear the Lord say " well done."
But how can he say well done if we haven't done well down here?

If we are to ever hear those words over there,
We must on a daily basis hear them over here.

Let me be the first to tell you,
Well done Natasha and Daniel.

Well done on
Finding each other.

Well done on,
traversing the mine field of courtship and dating,
without any major slip ups.

Well done, On finishing your education.

Delayed gratification is a lost virtue.
Well done on waiting. It will be worth the wait.
We promise.

Well done, in so many ways and on so many levels.
I am extremely proud of both of you.

Daniel I only possess 4 things of value.

With your marriage to Natasha,
I am entrusting you with 25% of my total wealth.

The amount of trust that I am placing in you ought to be sobering.

Natasha is not an accident

She looks like my wife and I,
She thinks like my wife and I,

She responds to life's situations,
like my wife and I have taught her.

Again Natasha is not an accident, we made her the way she is,
with much prayer, and careful consideration.

Natasha has been a joy to raise.
Her love for God has always been unwavering.

She is patient and kind,
she is not arrogant, boastful or rude.

She never been one to keep track of wrongs,
or to hold a grudge.

She is merciful and kind

Most of all,
She is a Christian

If God would come today, we would answer for what she is.

If God should tarry his return for any length of time,
It will be you who will answer for what she has become.

The Natasha who meets her maker
Will look , act, think and respond ... Like you.

1 Corinthians 3:10
"According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon."

We have layed a good foundation.
The evidence is obvious.

Build wisely,
Build intentionally,
Build with heaven in mind.

Remember everything you do will effect Natasha.
No short term power struggle is worth the long term cost.

Daniel, You are not only in charge,
you are responsible.

You are responsible...
for allowing God to complete what he has started.

You are responsible...
keeping the things of God central in your hearts and home.

You are responsible...
to provide for Natasha, both financially, emotionally and spiritually.

You are responsible!

She is the weaker vessel,
Allow her to be so.

Never be jealous of each other.
When one excels, it reflects well on both of you.

If Natasha fails, God will come looking for you...
"Where are you Adam,"

You are responsible.

Daniel,

I believe you are up to the challenge.
I believe you are the right one for her.

This is one of the hardest things we have ever been asked to do.
Knowing you both like we do has made this a much easier process.

Thank you.

Congratulations!

We love both of you,
We are very proud of you both.

Love, mom and dad Meyers.
