I was recently going through some old papers and I found some old things that I wrote.
A few are worth sharing. This one was written in November 2005.
John 12:24
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit."
"I would die for the truth"
"I know this to be true,
for I have lived for the truth,
When dying would of been easier.
When the last thing I have wanted to do was face another person,
and their questioning eyes,
and pretensions smiles.
I have lived moment by long painful moment,
loving truth, trusting God, and going on.
Fear the person who has never died.
Where every calamity is someone else's fault,
and every question has a ready answer.
Sometimes there are no answers,
And no one is at fault.
God has just decided it is best for you to die.
Fear the mother who has never silently died for truth,
Wanting to cry out at the unfairness.
Instead choosing to shielding her children from bitterness,
with her own silence.
To be feared and avoided is the father,
who has never laid down his life for truth,
and gone on living.
Dying a thousand deaths.
Unbalanced are their judgement,
perverse and self preserving is their love,
self-serving is their counsel.
Depart from their fellowship,
for wounds and snares are in their way.
But honor that man who has lived for the truth,
when dying would of been easier.
His judgements will be balanced,
And his love will be pure.
Cleave to this man and count him a boon companion,
For true are his words and peaceable are his ways.
A man who has not died for the truth,
no matter their confession,
Is not ready to live for the truth.
Lm. "
Amen!
