Men's hearts failing them for fear
Men's hearts failing them for fear,
One of the signs Jesus gave for his returning would be " men's hearts failing them for fear."
If you want to do a little research google " marketing of fear"
Only sex out sells fear,
From the car you drive, the insurance you buy to whom you vote for, fear is used to sell you on that decision.
We are a world obsessed with fear., constantly teetering on the verge of doom and destruction. One case in point is the recient scare in Califormia of a nuclear cloud from Japan. News outlets talked about the need for iodine tablets and safe drinking water. When in truth a trip to the doctor, will expose you to a much greater level of radiation than this.
Fear sell newspapers.
Fear is the arch enemy of faith.
You cannot be full of faith and full of fear, "for no man can serve two masters."
You cannot be happy and afraid at the same time.
You cannot be happy, be at peace, grateful, merciful, or friendly... While entertaining fear.
Trust is the economical exchange of all meaningful relationships... Fear vanquishes trust, destroying all meaningful relationships.
When trust is high communication is easy deep and meaningful.
Fear destroys marriages, life long friendships and communication with God.
Fear is also a thief, it robs you of the currency of hope and trust nessary to become what you want to be. Fear left un checked leads to paranoia. What ever fear dose not steal paranoia will destroy.
You can not be kind, love deeply, for all currency of trust has been removed.
The friends of fear are paranoia, irrational thinking, bitterness, and anger.
Fear releases a tyrant within us towards our fellow man.
"Fear makes tyrants of us all"
Fear is a bully, it kicks in the door of your mind and demands to be on center stage.
Fear is a relentless task master, it requires the toil of your mind 24/7.
Fear dose not play well with others.
Can you be full of faith and the Holy Ghost and fearful at the same time?
No you must choose fear or faith.
"Love will cast out fear" or fear will cast out faith.
Fear is the masculine form, it is brash loud, and demanding.
Worry is the feminine form of fear.
It seduces you, with with a million questions of " what if."
It hones in on our natural born insecurities,
and separates us from our two greatest allies, Hope and trust...
When hope and trust are gone,
It locks us into a lonely world of isolation and fear.
Fear hath torment...
Fear is one of the conditions found in hell
one of the major components of the torments of hell is fear
Fear is a tool of the devil to hold you immobile.
Fear paralyses accomplishments, kills hope, and crowds out faith.
For all of the time that fear extracts from our lives, it has never accomplished anything of lasting value.
By worrying we cannot add one more minute to our lives, dollar to our savings, or repair one broken relationship.
Fear did not sail the seas, discover America, open the West, or build this great nation. It was men of faith, and courage.
Is it any wonder much of Jesus earthly ministry his initial greeting was "be not afraid".
To Mary the mother of Jesus, "fear not for thou hast found favor with God.."
To Joseph, " do not be afraid"
To Zacharias: "fear not"
To Jirias....." Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole."
To the disciples in the storm...“Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.” ESV
To the woman at the tomb," do not be afraid"
To the shepherds, "fear not"
To James and John at their calling to ministry, "fear not you shall be fishers of men."
To the disciples at his ascension ,
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid."
" That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear," ESV
One of the last words atributed to Jesus in our Bibles ...
" Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death."
"perfect love casts out fear"
The greater God is the less room there is in your heart for fear.
Fear is linked to all manner of physical and emotional maladies, and eating disorders.
Storms in life are not an option, courage, hope, trust, and faith are.
The disciples found themselves in a storm and Jesus was asleep... He chided them with....
“Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?” ESV
If you are in a storm today courage, faith and hope are a choice.
Courage dose not panic it trusts in God.
Courage dose not complain it it prays.
God is not asleep
God is not unconcerned
"Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment."
God will walk into the darkness of your world, and grab fear by the seat of the pants and the knapp of the neck and cast it out if you will let him.
Perfect love casts out fear...
Thank you for reading today, as always your comments are welcome.
I hope you are challenged to cast off fear and reach higher than you ever have.
Fear is not just a annoining intruder into our lives. Fear is an deadly enemy that must be vanquished.

Brother Meyers, you don't know me, but Lashel does! :) I found your blog through Heidi Flowers', and I really enjoy reading it.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this post and the reminder that "PERFECT love casts out fear" very much. I confess to being fearful and worried in this 'end time' and of not being sure of what tomorrow will bring. Thank you for this article! I needed it.
