Railto update

For those who my be new to my blog, this is Bro Bookers favorite painting. It is of John and Peter running to the tomb on resurrection morning.

It a picture of desperation, despair, promise and most of all HOPE!

This is the space in the foyer of the new church building.

I can think of a lot of examples, about life... void, in need of something -unfinished.

My life...

Your life...

Empty... Hope!

When vision, dreams, and ability come together, it is amazing what can happen.

This is the biggest Faux project I have ever attempted to do. It represents months of planning...

Hours, upon hours of work...

Years of dreaming...

Years, years of walking alone...

Hope...

But mostly it represents a chance...

A chance to have value...

A chance to work for God...

A chance to be included in what God is doing here in Railto...

A chance to expand myself...

To grow...

To become...

The Process

This is when the ceiling was base coated with 4 colors...

Front wall is completed....

What we did was took the original painting, and digitally enlarged it...

We then transferred the image to 4' canvas rolls, which we pasted to the back wall...

Lytle signs in Twin Falls Idaho assisted me in this process. These are some of the best people I have ever worked with... Thank You Lytle Signs!

You can see here where I started pulling the color off the wall, and up on to the ceiling....

This process was in hindered by being 25 feet in the air on rolling scaffolding and standing on a bucket...

Yes I learned how to work while I prayed....:D

Hope...

These are some pictures I copied off the church web site....

The first one is looking through the front windows from the outside of the building...

You can see the mural from the road at night...very impressive!

More clouds... and more clouds and more... you get the picture!

My biggest challenge was painting it to look good from 30' away. This entailed a lot of going up and down, and guessing...then going back down....looking.....going back up and guessing.....repeat

Grandma recipe method of painting....Thank God for the scissor lift.

I just started the nursery. It is to look like the inside of a tree on two walls and have an outdoors theme on the other 2. The basic background is airbrushed with cartooned animals painted in...This is more fun than you can imagine.

It is amazing

It is amazing what kind of wonderful things can be created when people with different talents, unite for a common dream.

Leadership allows those who work for us to blossom and grow...

None of this could of happened if Bro Booker would of tried to micro manage this project...

I have tapped into ability and talent I was not even aware that I had...

Thank you Bro Booker.

Hope...

These are two of my first friends in the forest...

I need to add the door knob and a welcome mat to the first....

And a Bistro Sign above my mouse....

All of these are painted within a foot of the floor...

So i am laying on the fool to paint these....

Why? Cause that is eye level for the kids....:D

All of the interior doors jambs, windows and trim have been installed.....

I love the way the colors all work together.....

This is going to be such a beautiful building...

The tile is being laid in the bathroom and service areas... working out into the lobby...

They were held up by a painter on a scaffolding....

All of the electrical work is almost completed....

We are waiting for the permanent power to be switched on...

Right now we work off of a generator..

One way glass in the nursery window,...

Cell tower is up and running and Paying!!!$$$$..... :D

Exterior- All new painting is completed... I need to clean up and repaint the block walls around the property to match the new building...

Landscapers have the sprinkler systems up and running and are almost finished with the new plants.

This all looks so very nice.

Lots of dreaming,, planning, and walking by faith.

Hope...

More landscaping...

You can see the security fence in the back ground...

I hope this helps you all see the progress on the project...

I am guessing the move in date is some where in December or January...

Finally... they are talking about re doing the old building to match the new so...

We might be staying over for a few more weeks...

When you pray continue to remember us in your prayers....

We want to be where we are welcomed, wanted, and needed...

I know God has a plan for us....

We love each one of you....

Hope...
