Doing the work of an evangelist... The Rialto up date

We are nearing completion on the building project in Rialto. I have been asked to update my blog about where the project is.

All of the landscaping is completed. It is truly both a labor of love and craftsmanship.

This is the area where the new sanctuary will eventually go. The pop out in the middle will be removed to allow access from this building into the new one. For now this grass area will serve as a multiple functioning gathering area.

This is the area in front of the conference room, it will give you a feel for the amount of labor and attention that went into the landscaping.

The patio area out side the main entrance will also serve as another multiple function gathering area. There will be some tables with umbrellas and chairs off to the right by the coffee shop.

The foyer offers a warm welcome to all who enter. Everything works very well together, from the tiled walls and floor, to the chandelier, the indirect lighting, the wall sconces, and the crown molding.

The center piece of the foyer is the reproduction of Barnards masterpiece "Resurrection Morning".

We surprised Bro Booker by painting part of a vision he had as a young man in the clouds. You can read the story behind the painting in his book, "the journey of a life time". His reaction to the painting made it worth all the effort.

The nursery is a bright, colorful, cartoon festooned area. Each wall has a different theme. Most of the charters are inches off the floor. This required a lot of laying down on the job. :D

The mens restroom

The ladies restroom

This is looking from the back of the sanctuary towards the front. The platform will go between the two doors on the back wall. It will be 32" off of the floor. There will be four marble pillars across the back wall supporting a radius and light valance. You can see the baptismal area off to the right and Bro Bookers office window off to the left. There will be two projection screens one on each side of the platform.

This is looking from the front towards the back of the sanctuary. You can see the nursery windows off to the right, the sound booth in the middle and the doors into the foyer. Planned seating is for 980 people.

The new baptismal tank. The floor and walls are tile, the steps will be carpeted.

There are separate changing areas for the men and women. Each has two separate changing rooms as well as it's own restroom. The floors are tile, the walls have a 4' wainscoting of frp paneling. Functional, but very nice.

Bro Bookers office has two walls with floor to ceiling library paneling. One wall is wainscoted and the back wall is painted. This makes the room feel longer than it is.
The paneling was stained and glazed creating a antique, worn, and warm room.

The slab doors all came stained the wrong color. We applied a hand rubbed aged finish to them. For fire rated, slab doors they turned out very nice

Estimated move in date is sometime before Easter.

My wife and I have been so very blessed to be allowed to be a small part of what God is doing in Rialto, California. The Bookers, and all of the saints of the Inland Light church have been so generous and kind. This is the friendliest church I have ever been apart of.

It is also a revival church. There are bible studies almost every night, people coming and praying through out the day and into the night.

It reminds me of my home church.

New converts keep things alive and fresh.

Adam Pierce is over seeing the project. He is a man of God, a man of integrity, and has become a great friend.

"When God unfolds the rose, He always gets it right."

Continue to pray for us as we move from this phase into the next....

Believing God for great things in the days to come.
