The tale of three dogs

The tale of three dogs.

Somewhere not far from where you live there were three dogs.

The old dog, the big dog and the young dog.

The old dog
told of his years of experience, boasted of past accomplishments and secretly longed for the days of his youth and strength.

The big dog,
He mostly ignored what everyone else wanted, he was the big dog. Through his size and his strength he took by force what he could not take by intimidation.

He growled much, and savagely bit when necessary.

Part of his rational for his behavior and outlook on life,
was how he was treated as a puppy by the old dog, who was then the big dog.

The young dog,
mostly tries to stay out of the way ...
Often he was lonely,
He usually eats only what the others have not devoured ...

And he continues to grow ...

One day a wise man came

He told the young dog,

"sow wisely, you will reap what you have sown.

believe the best in others,
do nothing out of anger.

remember life is not fair to old dogs

Extend mercy

And...
God is using the big dog to kill the big dog spirit that is in you "

He warned the big dog,

"Be merciful to those less than you

You too will reap what you have sown

Someday you will not be the big dog
Just the old dog."

He counseled the old dog,

" there is no success without a successful successor.

Pour your wisdom into the dreams of those younger.

The farther they go, the greater your legacy.

Their dreams are not in competition with yours,
They are the fulfillment of them"

Then in parting he warned all of them ...

" life marches on,

Be kind to all dogs,

todays young dogs will be tomorrows big dog.

Today's big dog will just be the old dog of tomorrow."
